Real Reason Brock Lesnar Was Moved To WWE Raw Revealed

Last week on Smackdown, Paul Heyman announced that Brock Lesnar had quit the blue brand following his victory over Cain Velasquez at Crown Jewel.

A few days later on Raw, Lesnar’s advocate revealed that he had signed a deal with the USA Network to compete exclusively on Monday Night Raw, bringing the WWE Championship with him.

Many people assumed that WWE Champion Brock Lesnar would move to Raw because FOX requested to have Universal Champion Bray Wyatt on Smackdown.

Lesnar’s move to Raw would also allow him to continue his pretty decent feud with Rey Mysterio.

However, it would appear that these are not the only reasons “The Beast” switched brands.

Corey Graves suggested on the After The Bell podcast that Brock might have been moved to Raw to ensure that Paul Heyman doesn’t have to be present at both Raw and Smackdown each week.

“Selfishly, I hate that because I am a massive Brock Lesnar fan. Love calling his matches, love watching what he does, but he has made the choice to stick to the Red Brand on Monday nights probably to save his Advocate some travel. That would be my guess because Brock is a benevolent human being if nothing else.”

As the Executive Director of Raw, Paul Heyman will have to be present every Monday night. Also, he would have had to have been at every Smackdown to accompany Brock Lesnar to the ring.

These wouldn’t have made for the easiest travel arrangments, so Paul Heyman might have been one of the main factors behind Brock Lesnar moving back to Raw.
