The real reason Chris Jericho missed the AEW Dynamite show this past Wednesday (June 8) has now been revealed.
Many fans were surprised at Jericho’s omission from the show as it included the high-stakes Interim AEW World Championship Casino Battle Royale qualifier, and also came just one week before Jericho competes in a hair vs hair match against Ortiz.
As reported in today’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Chris Jericho was simply on a family vacation that he’d actually booked off over three months ago.
His absence was never addressed, and he was one of many major names not included in the Casino Battle Royale that left fans confused, but it’s good to hear it wasn’t for any negative reason like an injury.
Two weeks after the upcoming hair vs hair match against Ortiz, Jericho will compete in his second Blood & Guts match as the Jericho Appreciation Society will take on what would seem to be Ortiz, Santana, Eddie Kingston, Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley, but Danielson has been out injured so Wheeler Yuta might end up being substituted in.
