Dolph Ziggler made his return on last night’s (July 11) episode of WWE Raw, and the fans went sort of wild.
Ziggler came out to sit at ringside during the Seth Rollins & Theory vs. Bobby Lashley & Riddle main event tag match, and at one point prevented Theory from cheating to win the match.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Theory and Dolph will now be feuding, with the goal being Theory will learn a lot from Ziggler, who is one of WWE’s longest-serving stars, and one of its best workers.
Meltzer explained:
“Ziggler and Theory are gonna feud, with the idea that Theory can benefit from a 20-year veteran type of guy, a very good worker. So Ziggler’s a babyface, they just did it at the house shows. They just want him running around with Theory at shows every night for a couple of nights a week every week for a while because they’re bound and determined to make Theory into something, and (Ziggler) is a good guy to bring back for that. I think they have the mentality that whatever they’re gonna do with Theory down the line allows them to beat him all the time right now.”

It’s one of the first times we’ve seen Ziggler on TV since he lost the NXT Championship to Bron Breakker on the April 4 episode of Monday Night Raw.
After that, he’d only been on two episodes of Raw until last night.
Evidence would suggest he is being positioned as a babyface.
