The real reason for a couple of the WWE releases that took place on April 15 has reportedly been revealed.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained that a couple of the names released had complained about their booking, which would likely have contributed to them being let go.
Meltzer said:
“There were a couple of people that got cut because of… how would I say it? I heard this about two different people, about just… one person was pouting that they weren’t on WrestleMania. That did not help them. And another person had kinda complained about their booking. When you’re marginal talent that’s not being used and then you complain about it, it’s not like you’re a top guy, and that didn’t help their cause either. So that was some of it.”

Of the 10 names that were released, Billie Kay was the only one who wrestled on WrestleMania, and Samoa Joe did commentary.
The others let go were Mickie James, Peyton Royce, Mojo Rawley, Tucker, Steve Cutler, Kalisto, Chelsea Green and Bo Dallas.
