Pat McAfee has now commented on his recent absence from the past three weeks’ episodes of WWE Raw on Netflix.
Since Money in the Bank, McAfee has not been in his usual spot on Raw commentary alongside Michael Cole.
The first week he wasn’t present, it was SmackDown’s Wade Barrett who filled in, while the past two weeks have seen Cole reunited with NXT’s Corey Graves.
Fans are used to McAfee taking time away from WWE during football season, but that hasn’t been the case this time around.
On The Pat McAfee Show, McAfee explained he simply needed a break as he’s been feeling “pretty exhausted” recently.
He said:
“Continuing to just like, catch up on life as a whole, post-Money in the Bank, pre-Night of Champions, feels like a good time.
“I was getting pretty exhausted there.
“So shoutout to everybody, to WWE looking out for me too. Very, very thankful.”
There’s been no official word on how long McAfee will be away for, but if his planned schedule was between Money in the Bank and Night of Champions, that would mean him returning next week as Night of Champions is this weekend.
