The reason why a WWE star has not wrestled recently has been revealed.
Judgment Day’s Rhea Ripley has not seen much in-ring action in recent months.
Despite being an imposing member of Judgment Day, she has often interfered from the sidelines to assist fellow faction members, Finn Balor, Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio.
Ripley has now revealed the reason why she has not wrestled recently.
In an interview with the New York Post, Rhea Ripley explained that she hasn’t been 100 per cent since being injured in June 2022.
She said:
“A lot of it was the injury. I hadn’t been cleared for the longest time.
“I think I got cleared properly and fully the week before my NXT match (on October 18 against Roxanne Perez).
“After that there pretty much hasn’t been an opportunity for me to wrestle because I have been there with The Judgment Day and sort of their muscle.
“I help them out if they need me… I feel like my wrestling career is just starting up again.”
Ripley recently defeated Asuka on the November 21 edition of Raw.
She will join Damage CTRL and Nikki Cross to take on Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Bianca Belair, Mia Yim & TBA at Survivor Series WarGames on November 26.
In recent weeks, Rhea Ripley has seemingly met her match in Mia Yim.
Yim returned to WWE in October to align with The OC and attacked Ripley at ringside.
Ahead of her WarGames match, Rhea Ripley explained why she and Bianca Belair are “the next Stone Cold and The Rock.”
She said:
“Bianca and I are perfect rivals pretty much. We’ve talked about it in NXT before.
“We’ve talked about it here at RAW before. We pretty much want to be the next Stone Cold and The Rock.
“We want to have the storylines. We want to go out there and we want to steal the show.”
