Following the February 3 edition of Raw on Netflix, a new report has revealed the real reason for the Roman Reigns WWE injury announcement.
After being eliminated alongside CM Punk, Seth Rollins delivered a brutal looking Stomp to Roman Reigns before dishing out a second one on the steel steps.
On the February 3 edition of WWE Raw on Netflix, Michael Cole announced that Reigns will be out of action for the “foreseeable future.”
In a new report from PWInsider Elite (subscription required), the real reason for the injury announcement is it being a way to explain his absence in the storylines short-term more than anything. The report reads:
“For EVERYONE who has asked, my belief is the Roman Reigns is “out of action” reference made by Michael Cole was more of a way to explain his absence in the storylines short-term than anything else.”
It remains to be seen when Reigns will make his return to WWE TV at the time of this writing.
Meanwhile, the other men involved in the Royal Rumble angle will seemingly compete in the upcoming Men’s Elimination Chamber at the titular event on March 1.
