UPDATE: Find out whether MJF actually boarded the flight at this link.
With MJF no-showing his AEW Double or Nothing meet & greet and possibly leaving Vegas before the PPV, an update has emerged on Samoa Joe.
MJF genuinely no-showed the appearance and was spotted playing slots in the Mandalay Bay casino and wasn’t picking up his phone. He’s also booked on a red-eye flight to Newark, New Jersey that leaves within the next few hours.
Samoa Joe also missed a meet & greet, but the situation is very different.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez explained:
“Samoa Joe also was not at the fan fest, and that was a different issue. The way it was described to me was that he was double-booked. I don’t know what else he would have been booked for. But it was a communication issue where I guess he didn’t know that he was supposed to be there, so that’s what happened. That’s not a good thing, but he didn’t no-show, he didn’t walk out and turn his phone off and essentially screw a bunch of fans that paid to meet him and get yelled at.”

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has added that a source said Joe’s other booking was for “a voiceover session”.
We will of course keep you updated on the crazy situation with MJF and whether he actually boards the flight.
