Real Reason Samoa Joe Was Written Off AEW TV? ROH

Has the real reason Samoa Joe was written off of All Elite Television been revealed as Samoa Joe heads for Hollywood?

A new exclusive Deadline report notes that Joe, real name Joe Seanoa is set to act in a major new role with some well known Hollywood names.

According to the report, Joe will be playing the dual role of Sweet Tooth in Peacock’s Twisted Metal series, with the piece describing his character:

“Sweet Tooth is described as a hilarious and terrifying hulk of a man, who is as emotional as he is cunning. A lover of chaos, this majestic rage-filled killer dons an ever-smiling clown mask and uses “Lost Vegas” as his own personal kill-ground, all while he drives his infamous doomsday ice cream truck.”

A more substantive explanation of the series coming thereafter which highlights the importance of Joe’s role:

“… Twisted Metal is a half-hour action-comedy about a motor-mouthed outsider John Doe (Anthony Mackie) offered a chance at a better life — but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a trigger-happy car thief Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz), he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all-too-familiar ice cream truck.

The series based on the PlayStation video games is co-produced by Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions, and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.

Will Arnett is set to voice the character in the series.

Samoa Joe was last seen on AEW television after he competed in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament and was unceremoniously attacked by ROH foes Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh.
