The real reason for producer TJ Wilson’s (Tyson Kidd) WWE absence has now been revealed.
Wilson has reportedly not been seen backstage since mid-January. Following speculation that he may have left the company, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that Wilson is still with WWE.
Per the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Wilson is taking time off to heal his neck, which has flared up.
Wilson’s neck was injured in a match with Samoa Joe in 2015. At the time, it was noted that Wilson was lucky to recover to the extent he did, with most people who survive the injury ending up quadriplegic.
Wilson has not been at television tapings since January 14.
We will continue to provide updates on Wilson’s condition as they are made available.
