After making their debut as a faction on Main Event, Jinder Mahal, Veer, and Shanky made their Raw debut last week. Mahal defeated Jeff Hardy in his first Raw match since April 27, 2020.
Veer (FKA Rinku Singh) had been part of the very brief NXT team Indus Sher. However his partner Saurav Gurjar did not make the jump to the main roster with him.
Now, Fightful Select (subscription required) has reported why WWE brought only one member of Indus Sher to television. In short, the decision was made because they felt Saurav Gurjar was not ready for Raw.
The report also states that Jinder Mahal has been ready for a WWE return for months. This would make sense as Mahal worked WWE’s Superstar Spectacle show back in January. Interestingly, Mahal wrestled Indus Sher on that show as they teamed with WWE Champion Drew McIntyre.
