Here’s reportedly why WWE chose to rename its ‘Talking Smack’ show.
The name change was made official last week, with the post-SmackDown show now called ‘SmackDown Low Down‘.
The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has indicated that this change was made to avoid confusion, ahead of the launch of the new A&E show ‘WWE Smack Talk’.
Set for a June 10 premiere, WWE Smack Talk will feature will feature Booker T, Peter Rosenberg and Jackie Redmond breaking down notable moments from that week’s episodes of Biography: WWE Legends and WWE Rivals. Current stars, legends and celebrities will join the panel as guests throughout the upcoming series.
New seasons of Biography: WWE Legends and WWE Rivals will also premiere on July 10. You can read more about the upcoming WWE A&E shows right here.
WWE filed to trademark the term ‘WWE Smack Talk’ earlier this month.
