The real reason for a number of reported future WWE signings has now been revealed following recent tryouts.
During WWE’s European tour back in March, the company held it’s latest batch of talent tryouts, with a number of top independent stars from the United Kingdom and Europe attending the tryouts.
It was reported today that WWE was closing in on signing three names from the tryouts; Zozaya, Aigle Blanc and Mike D Vecchio, and the real reason behind the signings has been revealed.
Per PWInsider Elite (subscription required), WWE has been putting a lot of attention into international recruitment in recent weeks.
There has been talk internally within the company that they are lining things up to finally launch the long talked about NXT Europe brand later in the year.
When NXT UK was initially closed back in 2022, it was done due to the company looking to rebrand the show as NXT Europe, which led to the dissolving of NXT UK, and it’s titles being merged with NXT’s back at Worlds Collide in 2022.
We will provide any updates on NXT Europe’s status as they become available.
