# Real Reason WWE Tag Team Split Up

The Undertaker has revealed the real reason his WWE tag team with Kane didn’t have a longer run together as a duo.

Known as the Brothers of Destruction, Undertaker and Kane were billed as half brothers throughout their WWE careers, and had on-off runs as a tag team.

The pair held the WCW Tag Team Championship, as well as the WWF World Tag Team Championship twice.

Speaking in a new interview with [Club 520](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34XrU481bg4), Taker said he wishes they could have had a longer run together, but it was too difficult to book other teams against them due to their dominance.

He said:

*“I wish that we could have had a longer run together, but it just got to a point where it was too difficult to book anybody against us. It was just too difficult to put people against us. We made the Road Warriors look small, and those guys were bigger than life.*

*“And it was just like, how do you book anybody against these guys and think that anybody’s got a chance? Not only are they huge, but then they’re also supernatural and they can throw lightning and make fire and everything else.”*

The Undertaker was in Las Vegas yesterday for the announcement of WrestleMania 43 taking place in Saudi Arabia, as well as WWE & AAA Worlds Collide in Vegas later that day.

Taker has been noted as having a big role to play backstage in AAA since the WWE acquisition, along with Jeremy Borash, Pete Dunne and [NXT](https://wrestletalk.com/topic/nxt/) referee Adrian Butler.
