Monday night’s Raw Reunion featured a gathering of pretty much every major wrestling name available to WWE – other than The Rock – with one notable exception.
The legendary Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart was not part of the celebrations, leading to speculation about why he was not involved.
Some presumed it was because of Hart’s surprise appearance on AEW Double Or Nothing in May, where he was tasked with revealing the AEW World Title for the first time.
While WWE was not particularly thrilled with Hart’s appearance on AEW, this has nothing to do with him missing Raw Reunion.
Hart was still invited to be part of the show but it was he who declined the offer.
The reason for him turning it down was because Hart is currently in Calgary enjoying the summer and according to The Wrestling Observer, “he didn’t want to miss one day of it”.
Hart is not taking any appearances until later in August because of that. While most would make an exception for WWE, Hart is in a financial position where he does not need to do anything that he doesn’t want to do so he turned it down.
