WWE and SmackDown Live legend Edge has been forced to pull out of a scheduled appearance at SmackDown 1000 after a family tragedy hit earlier this week.
Edge, real name Adam Copeland, is married to former WWE superstar Beth Phoenix, and it has been revealed that Beth’s father sadly passed away recently, and Edge has pulled out of several appearances as a result.
He was due to appear on a special ‘Inside the Ropes‘ tour in the UK, but released the below video apologising to fans, explaining his appearance would have to be postponed.
WWE Superstar Natalya, one of Beth’s best friends, wrote a piece in the Calgary Sun newspaper dedicated to Beth’s father John. She shared the story on Twitter.
