On last night’s episode of Raw, the commentary made the effort to put over the fact that John Cena was injured in his fatal-4-way match last week, and that the injury was aggravated at the gym.
Because of this injury, Cena is a “major doubt” for the Rumble match, but if reports are to believed, it could all be one huge lie.
Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Cena is not actually injured at all, and that he is actually going to be filming a new movie, meaning he was never scheduled to be in the Rumble.

It is thought that WWE has to make new plans for pulling Cena from the match after Lars Sullivan was sent home from Raw following a suspected anxiety attack.
Meltzer believes that on one of the episodes Lars missed, he was due to attack John Cena backstage and put him out of action, keeping him out of the Rumble and possibly starting a feud leading to a WrestleMania match.
What they may now do is film a backstage skit of Cena being attacked by Lars to be aired during the Rumble match next week, allowing Lars to debut and set up this potential feud.
