Recent WWE Event Breaks Company Record

As confirmed by WWE on social media, the June 23 episode of WWE Raw officially broke a company record.

In what was the final episode of WWE Raw before this Saturday’s Night of Champions premium live event (June 28), the red brand headed to the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, OH.

On a night that saw the last two semi-final matches in the King & Queen of the Ring tournaments take place, as well as a Women’s Intercontinental Championship bout between Becky Lynch and Bayley – the show produced a new record for WWE in its host city.

As confirmed by WWE’s official Twitter account, the June 23 episode of Raw was Columbus’ highest grossing WWE event ever, with a sold out crowd of 13,433 in attendance.

In the main event of the show Cody Rhodes defeated Jey Uso to confirm his spot in the King of the Ring final against former mentor Randy Orton, while Jade Cargill knocked off Roxanne Perez in semi-final of the Queen of the Ring to confirm a showdown with Asuka at Night of Champions.

While Dominik Mysterio’s scheduled Intercontinental Championship defence against AJ Styles at Night of Champions was canceled due to an injury to “Dirty Dom”, two new matches have been officially added to the card: Rhea Ripley vs. Raquel Rodriguez in a Street Fight and Sami Zayn vs. Karrion Kross.
