Impact Wrestling released a statement two weeks ago confirming their former champion Eli Drake had left the promotion. Eli was signed to NXT in 2013 and it was unknown at the time if WWE were interested in re-signing him after the news.
However, Drake took to Twitter to tease an appearance at Impact’s Rebellion pay-per-view on Sunday night, implying he might have re-signed with the company.

Drake shared his ticket for a flight from Los Angeles to Toronto, which is the location of Impact’s pay-per-view on Sunday night. Whilst his visit to Toronto could be for something completely different, it is possible that the two sides worked out their differences and agreed for Drake to appear at the event.
