Released Star Referenced On NXT WWE

On tonight’s WWE NXT, a recently released star was mentioned during a segment with his former faction before he was replaced for their entrance.

In a backstage segment in advance of Thea Hail’s match, Andre Chase and Hail referenced the released Bodhi Hayward.

With Hail looking over to the flag without a carrier, the pair seemed sad about their loss.

Their sadness was quickly replaced by surprise as Duke Hudson popped through a screen, waving a giant Chase U flag and offering his services.

With Booker T commenting, “I see the other kid got his scholarship yanked,” he went on to reference Duke Hudson as the new ‘star pupil’.

In the match, Thea Hail took on Kiana James in a hard hitting affair with both talent showing off impressive moves and improvement from past matches.

While Duke Hudson attempted to help Hail, Chase intervened to emphatically state that they don’t cheat and kicked him out of the ringside area.

While the distraction led to a Kiana James victory, Andre Chase was comforting Thea Hail in the ring after her loss when they were attacked from behind!

Charlie Dempsey came out of nowhere and attacked Chase, shoving hail down in the process.

After Duke Hudson re-emerged and scared off Dempsey, the human embodiment of a romance novel cover Hudson offered a hand up to Thea Hail.
