WWE
A released star’s post WWE name has now been revealed, with the former champion updating his social media bio to reflect the change.
On Friday, October 10, Wes Lee was released by the company along with several other names from WWE NXT.
The former NXT North American Champion and two-time NXT Tag Team Champion last competed on WWE programming over two months prior, when he lost to Je’Von Evans on the July 29 episode of NXT, however, he would make two more in-ring appearances at live events between then and his departure.
Now that Wes Lee has been officially moved to WWE’s alumni page, the 30-year-old star has made the first step in the next chapter of his career by reverting back to the name Dezmond Xavier on his Twitter profile (see below).
Lee used the name Dezmond Xavier on the independents and in TNA, later being shortened to Dez before signing with WWE in 2021.
While its unclear what lies ahead for Lee post WWE, his former teammates in The Rascalz also recently cast doubt on their future in TNA when they revealed that their contracts are expiring soon.
We will provide updates on Lee’s future following his WWE release as more updates become available.
