Released WWE Star Was ‘At No Point’ Worried After Departure WWE

A former WWE star has revealed that they were “at no point” worried after being released from their contract.

Dani Luna is currently signed to TNA Wrestling, having signed with WWE in January 2020, appearing on NXT UK regularly.

With her release in August 2022, and the subsequent closure of NXT UK the following month, Luna has now opened up about any concerns she had over her future in wrestling.

Speaking on the I Love Wrestling podcast, Luna revealed that she wasn’t worried that she wouldn’t be wrestling again, saying:

“Honestly, it was almost made better by the fact that it happened to a lot of us. It happened to a lot of my friends; it all happened at the same time.

“At no point was I worried that that was it. I was so young still. I had still had so much to give. I still had so much to learn. I knew I was going to figure it out, and all I knew is to work really hard. So I just started doing that.

“I started trying to make myself as marketable and bookable as possible and just kept at it. And now I’m in a position where I feel like I’m valued very well for what I give to the world, and yeah, it’s awesome.

“You got to kind of just take stuff like that in your stride. I think if you let it kind of beat yo,u then you’re never going to come back. Ultimately, wrestling is really fun, so I just try to keep staying on that side of the line for sure.”

Luna would also reflect on her time in NXT UK and the feeling that she wasn’t ready for her WWE run due to her age.

Since joining TNA Wrestling in May 2023, Luna has gone on to be a two-time Knockouts World Tag Team Champion with Jody Threat.
