A released WWE star has taken a shot at former Olympian Gable Steveson following his move to the NFL’s Buffalo Bills.

As announced by ESPN, former Olympic gold medal winning wrestler and WWE star Gable Steveson has officially signed a contract with the NFL’s Buffalo Bills.

Following the news making the rounds on social media, a Twitter user would respond to a post by asking what position Steveson would be taking up on the football field, which led to an interesting response from a fellow former WWE star Trevor Lee (fka Cameron Grimes).

In response to the post Lee wrote:

Whichever one requires the least amount work and has other people make him look good I’m assuming? Wait wrong sport….

Following Steveson’s one and only televised WWE match at NXT Great American Bash in July 2023, he would go on to compete in non-televised bouts for the remainder of his time in the company – first on NXT live events, then later at SmackDown tapings.

Steveson and Lee would compete against one another in a pair of SmackDown dark matches on January 19 and 26.

Lee announced the news of his WWE release on April 23, while Steveson would be let go just weeks later on May 3.
