The latest update has emerged on a recently released WWE star potentially joining AEW for a faction reunion.
WWE released multiple stars earlier this year, with one of them being former Raw Tag Team Champion Cedric Alexander.
The peak of Alexander’s career came when he was a member of the Hurt Business along with MVP, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin.
While Alexander was still with WWE, MVP, Lashley and Benjamin had all departed the company and went on to debut in AEW as the Hurt Syndicate.
With Alexander now out of WWE too and his 90-day non-compete clause expiring soon, there have been natural questions about whether he could join AEW and reform the original four-man group.
On the latest episode of Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Lashley addressed a potential Alexander arrival, saying:
“We love Ced, he’s like our little brother, so we will see what happens.”
Recently on AEW TV, MJF has been trying to gain approval to become a member of the Hurt Syndicate.
MVP is seemingly on board, and Benjamin is coming around to the idea, but Lashley has been very much against it.
