WWE Hall of Famer and NXT announcer Booker T has reacted to the recent release of LFG and Performance Center talent BJ Ray.
Ray featured on both season one and two of WWE LFG, with much of the story throughout the show being centered around his somewhat divisive personality, and in particular, issues with his coach Bubba Ray Dudley.
On the latest edition of his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T, another coach on WWE LFG, commented on BJ Ray’s release, and suggested his attitude behind-the-scenes was the same as his on-screen antics.
Booker said:
“I always thought that kid had something. But in this business, you’ve gotta be able to apply yourself. It’s not gonna be like football, basketball, or any other structured sport. It’s not gonna be like that.
“A guy like BJ Ray, he had the looks, he had the swag, the charisma, but everything else, he definitely was lacking in.
“So there again guys, your clock is ticking. Know how to figure it out. The same way BJ Ray was on television, he was that way off television. You can’t be that way.”

Since his release, BJ Ray has been tagging AEW CEO Tony Khan on social media, saying, “Your boy is ready… call me,” and referring to himself as “The Ratings Machine.”
