Released WWE Star Comments After First Match Since Departure WWE

A former WWE star has commented after returning to the ring for the first time since their release from the company.

In November 2024, Nixon Newell (fka Tegan Nox) was released from her WWE contract along with fellow women’s roster member Indi Hartwell.

As is usually the case with main roster WWE star releases, Newell served a 90-day non-compete clause following her exit, but finally got the chance to return to action at Attack! Pro Wrestling’s events last weekend on March 1 and 2.

Competing in both her native Wales and England with shows in Cardiff and Bristol respectively, Newell has now taken to Twitter to comment on her return to the ring.

Noting how her “fire” was previously “extinguished and buried” prior to her return to the ring, Newell wrote:

It’s crazy how you can have a fire completely extinguished & buried but a return home reignites the love that once was

 Thank you, @attackwrestling

At the Attack! Pro Wrestling show in Cardiff on March 1, Newell teamed with fellow WWE alum Mark Andrews in a tag team match against Harrison Bennett and Rayne Leverkusen, before then competing in singles action in Bristol the following night against TNA Wrestling’s Jody Threat.

We will provide updates on Newell’s post-WWE future as more information becomes available.
