A recently released WWE star has commented on potentially making a return to the company after signing with TNA.
Former NXT Women’s Champion Indi Hartwell was released from WWE back in November after over a year on WWE’s main roster.
Since her departure, Indi has made her debut for TNA, with her now officially being under contract to the company.
With TNA’s ongoing partnership with WWE NXT, it could be possible for Indi to make her return to the brand in the future.
Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Indi was asked about a potential return to WWE in the future.
She noted that, while she didn’t sign with TNA so she could return there, she can definitely see herself returning to the company in the future.
She said:
“It’s not my intention right now to sign with TNA so I can go back to NXT. I went to TNA because TNA is a company I grew up watching. I’m genuinely a huge fan of TNA, and I feel like that’s where I can thrive the most.
“But like I mentioned before, I’m only 28 so I do feel like there is a path back to WWE someday, I’m not closing the door on that. All my friends are still there, and there’s a lot that I didn’t get to do, so it’s definitely something that I can see happening.”
Indi also detailed how she was able to retain her Indi Hartwell ring name following her departure, which you can see here.
