Released WWE Star Files Trademark To Secure Ring Name

You can take her job, but you can never take her ring name…unless of course the trademark application is denied of course.

Chelsea Green, who was released last week as part of WWE’s apparently annual tradition of releasing people on April 15, has filed to trademark both “Chelsea Green” and “Hot Mess”.

The descriptions of her application, which was made the day of her release, are below.

G & S: Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestler and sports entertainer in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes

For those who aren’t aware, green was known as “Hot Mess” Laurel Van Ness during her time in Impact Wrestling.
