A WWE star who was released from the company last year has competed in their first match in over two years.
WWE held a round of talent releases last September, which saw many names from the main roster be let go from their contracts shortly after the Endeavor takeover had been finalised.
One of the names on the list was former Women’s Tag Team Champion Aliyah, who had not made a single televised appearance for the company in 2023 despite being medically cleared to compete.
Aliyah’s last match came on the September 12, 2022 episode of Monday Night Raw, when her and Raquel Rodriguez’s short reign as Women’s Tag Team Champions came to an end, losing the titles to IYO SKY and Dakota Kai of Damage CTRL.
After being out of the ring for over two years, Aliyah (now going by her real name Nhooph Al-Areebi) made her return to the ring at tonight’s Destiny Wrestling event in Canada.
Taking to Instagram, Nhooph reacted to her return to the ring, simply writing:
What a time to be alive 💗
