Released WWE Star Issues Statement After Injury Scare Ends Indie Return Match Abruptly WWE

A released WWE star has provided an update on their status after an injury scare ended their match early.

Last night saw former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Priscilla Kelly (Gigi Dolin) return to the independent scene after being released by WWE in May.

Taking on fiancé Zachary Wentz at Pro Wrestling REVOLVER’s Cage of Horrors 4 event in Clive, Iowa – Kelly’s first match as a free agent sadly ended in a no contest due to what appeared to be a knee injury.

While the news led to concern from fans afterwards, Kelly took to Twitter to reveal that the apparent injury was simply an “anatomy issue” where her patella occasionally comes out of place.

Kelly wrote:

My patella came out of place. It does that from time to time. It’s an anatomy issue I’ve had my whole life, and I’ve managed to always work through it, even sometimes continuing matches after it happens.

It’s not an “injury”, it just hurts a good bit and I have to “pop” it back in place. Now ya know. Sorry, guys.

In a follow up tweet Kelly confirmed that she’ll still be competing against AEW’s Robyn Renegade at Atlanta Wrestling Entertainment’s event on Saturday, June 21.
