A released WWE star officially made their debut on tonight’s episode of AEW Collision in Glasgow, Scotland (August 23).
Originally taped following AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, the first-ever AEW Collision in Scotland saw more action unfold from the OVO Hydro in Glasgow – including the AEW debut of released WWE star Isla Dawn.
While the match was announced days ahead of time for those tuning in on TV, it was a surprise for those at the taping on Wednesday, leading to the Scottish star receiving a big reaction from the fans in attendance at the OVO Hydro.
Dawn faced off with Megan Bayne, who has remained undefeated in singles competition in AEW throughout 2025.
Unfortunately for the Dawn and her home crowd in Glasgow that streak continued, as after a back-and-forth match, it was Bayne who picked up the win with a running Powerbomb.
Dawn was let go by WWE in February this year following seven years with the company, with her match on tonight’s Collision being only her second since her departure.
While it’s not yet been announced that Dawn is set to sign with AEW, it was previously reported earlier this year that the company were “heavily interested” in her.
We will provide further updates on Dawn’s AEW future as any further information becomes available.
