A former WWE star made his in-ring return for the company tonight at an untelevised NXT live event in Florida.

NXT live events might not be a hotbed for surprise appearances, but the crowd in Citrus Springs got one tonight.

Lince Dorado, who was released by WWE in November 2021, was in action tonight against Joshua Black and even scored the win.

Dorado was previously with WWE from 2016 to 2021 after being a participant in the Cruiserweight Classic tournament.

He was most notably a member of Lucha House Party alongside Kalisto and Gran Metalik for the last couple of years of his run.

Dorado has continued wrestling regularly on the indies since his WWE release and also makes ring gear for fellow wrestlers.

His most recent match on record via Cagematch was against Rich Swann for CZW on December 21.

There’s no official confirmation yet on whether Dorado is back with WWE full-time as of his NXT return tonight, but we’ll keep you posted with any updates.

He did post the following tweet after his match:
