A WWE star who was released by the company this past April returned for a match and appearance during tonight’s episode of Raw.
Drew McIntyre opened the show with a promo discussing his upcoming WWE Title defence against Dolph Ziggler at the Horror Show that is Extreme Rules.
Ziggler has teased revealing which stipulation he’d chosen for that match, but in fact came out and said he was keeping it a secret.
The challenger then spoke about how McIntyre had stabbed him in the back on his way to becoming champion, and said he wasn’t the only one the Scot had done that to.
He then brought out former WWE star Heath Slater, who is one of McIntyre’s closest friends and former teammate in 3MB.
Slater cut a passionate promo basically agreeing with Ziggler and saying McIntyre betrayed him by letting him get released, which led to a match between the two.
McIntyre won in just a few seconds, but afterwards brought Slater to his feet and gave him a hug, which was a nice moment for what could well be Slater’s final ever time in a WWE ring.
