Something similar happened last year, after WWE released a number of stars in April 2020. Eric Young, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson and Brian Myers (Curt Hawkins) featured in Slammiversary 2020 promotional material, before eventually returning to IMPACT.
Myers defeated Matt Cardona at Rebellion last night. An injury update has been provided for Cardona after he landed awkwardly on his knee during the match.
Kenny Omega defeated Rich Swann for the IMPACT and AEW World Championships. IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay has called out Omega after his double-title victory.
