The news broke just hours before tonight’s AEW Dynamite debut episode in Toronto, Canada, that former WWE announcer Renee Paquette (Young) had signed with All Elite Wrestling.
It was reported last week that WWE had believed Renee was heading to AEW after they showed interest in bringing her back to the company. WWE sent an offer to Renee for a return as they looked to shake up their announce teams, which Renee turned down. WWE did bring back another former interviewer in Cathy Kelley.
On tonight’s AEW Dynamite, Renee made her debut appearance on the show, where she interviewed Canada’s own Christian Cage ahead of Luchasaurus’ match with Jungle Boy Jack Perry. Christian spoke about being the biggest star in Canada and Toronto specifically.
Renee is of course married to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, who recently signed a lucrative five year extension to his AEW contract, including coaching and mentorship roles.
