One of the reasons that many fans love All Elite Wrestling is that they seemingly don’t tease a storyline or feud that they don’t later deliver on. However, it appears that they might have just failed to deliver on a teased feud.
Kip Sabian is currently dating fellow AEW star Penelope Ford. This came a short while after Ford and another AEW star in Joey Janela split up.
Penelope Ford and Kip Sabian have been packaged together in AEW. A few weeks ago on Full Gear, the pair cut a promo where they said the following line:
“Why be bad when you can be Super Bad?”
Some took this to be a shot at Joey Janela, and it seemed like the new promotion was teasing a feud between Janela and Sabian that would play out on Dynamite.
Despite the feud having real-life heat, Dave Meltzer is reporting in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Janela and Sabian will not be feuding in the coming weeks:
“Right now there are no plans for a Joey Janela vs. Kip Sabian program. Penelope Ford just slipped the line in on the PPV interview and when Janela tweeted that he wouldn’t do that program, that was legit.”
It seems like based on his history with Penelope Ford, Joey Janela would not be willing to work with her and her new boyfriend Kip Sabian, and you can completely understand why.
