Report: All WWE Superstars Now Back In USA Following Saudi Arabia Travel Disaster

Following the Crown Jewel pay-per-view event on Thursday night, WWE was hoping that the roster would be able to return swiftly for Friday Night Smackdown the following night.

However, “mechanical issues” with the plane meant that the majority of the roster was left stranded in Saudi Arabia, with only eight Superstars able to return home on a private charter.

Brock Lesnar was the only wrestler who competed at Crown Jewel who was able to make Smackdown last night, presumably because he left on his private jet as soon as his match with Cain Velasquez was over.

As a result, WWE brought in a whole host of NXT stars for last night’s Smackdown show, resulting in a 186% increase in the ratings compared to last week.

Onto more good news, Wade Keller of PWTorch is reporting that the entire WWE roster who made the trip to Saudi Arabia has now returned home safely.

Many fans were concerned after it was rumoured that Vince McMahon had gotten into a “disagreement” in Saudi Arabia, with the WWE roster perhaps left in the country because of a far more serious reason.

However, it is not believed that this dispute had anything to do with WWE’s travel issues.
