It was reported last week that Amazon has held talks with US promotion MLW about using the service to stream shows. This would be the first wrestling show to be shown on the streaming service.
However, it appears that Amazon may also be interested in securing the rights to another US promotion’s special events, this time WWE.
According to Sporting News’ Steven Muehlhausen on Twitter, Amazon has expressed an interest in securing the rights to WWE’s pay-per-views:

This comes after it was theorised that WWE could sell the rights for WrestleMania 36 to FOX, as well as many other pay-per-view events.
There is no word on if Amazon has officially approached WWE with an offer for the pay-per-view events, so stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for the latest developments from this very interesting story.
