Last Saturday’s SummerSlam kicked off in a big way, when Bianca Belair defended her Raw Women’s Championship against Becky Lynch in a rematch from WrestleMania 38.
The big news happened after the match, when Lynch turned babyface by respecting Belair following her victory, before Bayley, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY made their returns, going face to face with the pair, though we may have to wait a little to see the match.
Bryan Alvarez reported on the Wrestling Observer Live that Lynch suffered a separated shoulder on the show.
He said:
“Becky Lynch took the Jaded (Glam Slam) and landed sideways, she landed on her side. Having separated my shoulder twice wrestling, I knew immediately that was not good. She started grabbing her shoulder and she was grabbing her shoulder throughout the rest of the match. We can confirm today that she did suffer a shoulder separation. I don’t know the extent of it, there are several grades of shoulder separation. She did finish the match and she was using her arm, and she was favoring it but she was lifting and doing all of her spots so I’m hoping it is an injury that she can come back from very quickly.”
Fightful Select has also confirmed Becky Lynch suffered a separated shoulder.
