Report: Bray Wyatt’s Fiend Character Possibly To Be Made More Child-Friendly

At WWE SummerSlam, Bray Wyatt made his in-ring debut as “The Fiend”. The presentation of his new character, including the breath-taking entrance, made fans and critics alike very excited for the future of the former WWE Champion.

However, Bray Wyatt did not appear on the following episodes of WWE TV. Although it was reported that this was because WWE wants to keep the new character fresh and exciting, many people were disappointed to see no follow-up to Bray’s return.

However, it has since been reported by Tom Colohue that Bray Wyatt’s character will be changing and will be made more child-friendly, with WWE wanting to find a “happy medium”:

“They want a happy medium. This is something special but it needs to be special without scaring half the audience away.”

Colohue then adds that Wyatt was actually supposed to be on either Raw or Smackdown following SummerSlam, but there was some backstage arguments about how his character should be presented:

“Bray should have been on TV to follow up after SummerSlam but there was an argument over what Bray should appear…changes might need to be made to get a character everyone is happy with.”

Let’s hope WWE sorts this out soon and allows Wyatt to continue with his “Fiend” gimmick. It honestly has the potential to be something truly special.
