Former UFC star Cain Velasquez will be making his WWE in-ring debut later this month at Crown Jewel when he takes on Brock Lesnar.
The match is not believed to be for Brock Lesnar’s WWE Championship.
Despite making his first WWE appearance last week on Friday Night Smackdown, Velasquez initially stated that he was yet to agree to a deal with Vince McMahon’s company.
However, ESPN is now reporting that Velasquez has signed a massive multi-year deal with WWE. As a result, Cain has not retired from UFC and MMA.
It is unsurprising that WWE signed Cain to a multi-year deal, especially considering both AEW and NJPW were reportedly interested in his services.
Cain’s status with WWE after Crown Jewel is not yet known, and it is not clear whether he will be a full-time active member of the WWE roster after his match with Lesnar later this month.
