Yesterday it was confirmed that Booker T would be joining Renee Young as the co-host of the new FS1 studio show, “WWE Backstage”.
However, it has been reported that another former World Champion was being considered to partner Young on the new show.
PWInsider is reporting that CM Punk was in Los Angeles this week to meet with WWE officials about the prospect of him co-hosting the show.
The report claims that Punk even did a few on-camera tryouts with Young while in LA.
As Renee Young will be the main host of the show, it is plausible that Punk could replace Booker T as her co-host in the near future.
It is unclear right now whether CM Punk has agreed to a deal with either WWE or FOX to star on the show.

PWInsider is also reporting that former Smackdown commentator and ECW star Tazz was brought in by FOX for numerous tryouts as Young’s co-host.
