It was reported last week that CM Punk had been in Los Angeles for tryouts with Renee Young over the new FS1 WWE show.
A report later emerged suggested that Punk would “likely receive an offer from WWE“. The former WWE Champion has also confirmed that talks did take place.
Dave Meltzer stated on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that FOX has now offered Punk the role as Renee Young’s co-host for WWE Backstage.
There is currently no word on when the signing is expecting to be announced by WWE or FOX, or when Punk will begin working on the show.
The show is set to kick off on November 5, so WWE and FOX still have a while to think of a good way to announce Punk’s new WWE role.
