Last night’s episode of AEW: Dynamite saw Broken Matt Hardy cut a promo on Chris Jericho, in response to the former AEW Champion’s comments from last week.
In the promo, he challenged Jericho to an “Elite Deletion” match at the Hardy Compound, inviting the entire Inner Circle to attend.
Despite Hardy’s challenge, it’s being reported that it might not actually happen, as AEW hasn’t decided whether it’s something they want to do.
There’s no word on why they would have Hardy challenge Jericho to the match if the match hadn’t been 100% agreed upon, but the promotion still hasn’t decided whether it wants to travel to North Carolina to film it at the Hardy Compound.
There are still plans for Hardy to join the Elite and take on the Inner Circle in a 10-man “Blood & Guts”, but given the current global situation, it isn’t known when this will be able to take place.
