Kenny Omega likely needs surgery, as per Mike Johnson of PWInsider.
Johnson reports that Kenny Omega could be out of action for an ‘extended period of time’, and it is believed that he could require shoulder surgery.
There is hope that there will be some clarification on the situation following Omega’s medical evaluation today (November 17).
Omega had been dealing with a number of ailments and injuries in recent months, but reportedly chose to finish his story with Hangman Page before taking time off. The former AEW World Champion reportedly worked through a shoulder injury during the November 13 pay-per-view.
Omega has wrestled 32 times this year, working matches for AEW, IMPACT and AAA. He currently holds the AAA Mega Championship, most recently defending the gold against Andrade El Idolo at TripleMania in August.
