As per PWInsider, NXT star Kyle O’Reilly’s WWE contract is reportedly slated to expire next month.
O’Reilly is currently listed internally as the number two babyface of the NXT brand, behind NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa. The former Undisputed Era member signed with WWE in 2017, and went on to hold the NXT Tag Team Championship three times.
O’Reilly is also a former Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic winner, lifting the cup alongside Adam Cole in 2018. He won the NXT Year-End Award for Tag Team of the Year three times between 2018-2020, and won the Match of the Year award in 2020 for his NXT Championship bout with Finn Balor at NXT TakeOver 31.
Since the NXT reboot in mid-September, O’Reilly has won two matches. He is currently aligned with Von Wagner, who is expected to have a bright future in WWE.
O’Reilly could re-sign with WWE before his contract expires, but if he lets it run out, he’d be a very valuably free agent.
O’Reilly isn’t the only top NXT talent who’s contract is set to expire soon. Johnny Gargano’s current deal is reportedly set to end on December 3.
