There has been an update surrounding the new set designs that WWE plan to introduce ahead of the company’s return to touring.
WWE’s Lead Production Designer Jason Robinson has confirmed that new sets will be used following the return of fans next month. It has now been reported that pyro will return when these sets are introduced.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer also stated that the new Raw and SmackDown sets will debut when WWE returns to the road.
Noting that the pyro will be impressive, Meltzer wrote:
“The new Raw and Smackdown sets are designed and will debut when they go on the road and will have pyro that will be the most impressive they’ve used to date”
Many fans have criticised WWE’s sets for their lack of variety in recent years, with some arguing that current pay-per-view layouts are underwhelming. Jason Robinson has stated that plans for the SummerSlam set are huge.
Numerous reports have claimed that John Cena will return to WWE to face Roman Reigns at The Biggest Party of the Summer. Cena has since confirmed that he plans to wrestle again, noting that he can’t wait to have his next match.
