Report: No WWE Stars Have Tested Positive For COVID-19

Some good news from WWE, as it’s being reported by Dave Meltzer that no-one in the company has yet tested positive for Coronavirus, despite several stars being pulled from WrestleMania 36.

He did not mention who has so far been tested for the virus, but as far as he knows, no-one has tested positive.

Stars such as Dana Brooke, Bobby Lashley, Rey Mysterio and Murphy have all been in quarantine in the past few weeks after displaying symptoms, but if Meltzer’s report is to be believed, none of them actually had Coronavirus.

Lashley will be appearing at WrestleMania this weekend for a match with Aleister Black, but the three other aforementioned stars will not be making an appearance.

The biggest star to drop out of ‘Mania is Roman Reigns, who pulled out over a week ago. WWE is still advertising him for the show, but we know for a fact he won’t be there, and he will likely be replaced by Braun Strowman.

The Miz turned up for the tapings, but was apparently feeling unwell, and was therefore not able to compete, leading to a change to the planned SmackDown tag title match.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Stephanie McMahon explained the lengths WWE is going to in order to avoid any spread of the virus.

“We’re shooting in waves. No one person, regardless of who they are, is allowed to enter if they have a temperature of over 100.4, or if they have been out of the country or been in touch with someone who has been out of the country. We also do pandemic-level cleaning, which includes fogging and ultraviolet light, in the facility every single night.”

You’ll be able to follow both nights of the show right here on WrestleTalk.com, and over on our YouTube channel.
