A new report has provided an update on the future of NXT, following recent reports that Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard are set to take over.
Yesterday (September 1), it was reported that rebooted NXT will be a Vince McMahon-Bruce Prichard production. Since then, there has been some uncertainty as to how much control McMahon and Prichard will have over the brand.
As per WrestleVotes, the likes of Triple H, Shawn Michaels, William Regal, Matt Bloom will still have power in NXT. Explaining that weekly TV will feel like a McMahon product, WrestleVotes tweeted:
“After talking to sources regarding NXT: the day to day operation is not changing that drastically. Still very much in the hands of HHH, HBK, Regal, Bloom etc However, the look of the weekly TV product will have a “Vince & Co” stamp on it. I expect it to be subtle to start… then?”
McMahon and Prichard reportedly weren’t at the recent NXT tapings, however WWE producer Jamie Noble has been spotted at the Performance Center more frequently.
Prichard will reportedly visit the Performance Center later this week, however all talent aren’t mandated to be there for that.
Since news about McMahon producing NXT first broke, “RIP NXT” and “Triple H” have been trending on Twitter.
