Report: NXT Star Suffers Injury On Last Night’s Show

Last night’s episode of NXT was a physical one as several stars were showing the wounds of war. While Rhea Ripley suffered a nasty cut on her ear, it appears Arturo Ruas got the worst of it.

It is being reported by Fightful Select (subscription required) that Ruas suffered an arm injury during his match with KUSHIDA. His match was not very long and KUSHIDA ended up winning with a cradle.

The report also notes that Ruas filmed additional content for WWE’s digital platforms but they did not make air. A short vignette did air for him before the match and this report says there were creative plans for Ruas going forward and this was not intended to be a one-off appearance. Whether this injury is severe enough to sideline him for an extended period of time remains unclear.

Arturo Ruas has made his way to Raw earlier in the year and this was his return to NXT. Fightful also reports that the demise of Raw Underground was the reason for his return to NXT.
